Stop losing Valuable Traffic to your website

You may be losing valuable traffic and not even know it!  Here's something you may never have thought of before:
If I were to type your domain name -- http://www.yourdomain.com -- into my web browser without the "WWW" so it looked like this:
http://yourdomain.com … would I be immediately sent to your site or would I receive a “Page Not Found” error?  Don't be too quick to answer.  Think about it.  Have you tried this before?
Because while most web hosts and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are now set up to accept both, some are not!  And this means that visitors who drop the "WWW" and simply type “yourdomain.com” into their browsers may be getting an error message… and you may be losing valuable traffic!
If you try this and find that "yourdomain.com" doesn't work, contact your web host or ISP and request that they make the necessary changes.  It's a quick 5-minute fix for them… and everyone they service will benefit.

Some may try to charge you a fee for this change, but I would argue that this is a common service provided by the majority of ISPs and web hosts today.  If they want to remain competitive and keep your business, then you shouldn't have to pay.
However, if they still insist on charging you, and the fee is minimal, then you should pay it.  After all, you're probably losing valuable traffic that will more than pay for this expense in the long run.
It's such a minor problem… but it could be losing you major traffic! So check into this today!
Viruses are hazardous to the health of your computer… and your business.  While there was once a time when the only way you could be infected by a virus was by downloading software from an FTP site or by exchanging floppy disks, today's viruses pose a threat of a much greater magnitude.  Why?  Because e-mail has made the transferring of information so incredibly easy… and FAST!
It's pretty scary to think that you can get a virus simply by opening a funny e-mail that a friend sent you… or by opening a file that you've downloaded off the Internet. However, if you protect yourself properly, it is unlikely that you will ever have this problem!
One of the best ways to prevent viruses is by installing virus detection software.  However, do not just install it and forget about it!  New viruses are created every day, so you need virus detection software that will automatically update itself on a regular basis. Once a week, if not more frequently, is usually best.
There are dozens of packages available from your local software dealer ... or through Internet downloads. Be sure that you can get regular updates for the package you choose. Some even offer versions that will automatically update themselves every week by logging online, protecting you against the multitude of new viruses that are created every day!

Personal computer hardware - how to repair your own PC

With this article, I don't recommend or suggest you to be an expert in personal computer hardware or be a professional computer repairer, you don't have to. This article just a plain explanation about the problem that often occur on computer hardware especially in personal computer, it's just offer you solutions in order to facing the hardware's problem better than get panic and rushed the machine off go to the nearly repair shop.

If you are have a personal computer unit at your home like me, I think you have a bad experience with your computer's hardware. It's happen occasionally, at the time the cost of repair may have seemed a bit high in proportion than the original cost of the machine.

Why don't you try to repair your own personal computer? You can learn to do your own diagnosis and repair work. It is worth while knowing what is going on inside the box, even if you do not do the work yourself. With a good understanding of the likely causes of the hardware problems, you can be a lot more confident that the repairs carried out were reasonable and necessary.

These are some steps to do:

To begin with, a good source of technical information is necessary.
You can always ask at your local electronics shop, but if you really don’t know what you are talking about, the embarrassment can be a big turn off. There is an excellent book available called ‘Upgrading and Repairing PCs’ written by Scott Mueller. This is the most complete and most readable ‘how-to’ book I have found, and if you only buy one book on the subject, Scott’s is the one to get you hands on.

The next step is to choose a few projects to get familiar with the hardware
The best way to begin building up your skills is to pull a computer completely apart, and then put it back together. If it still works after that, then you have made a pretty good start. At this stage, you may be thinking ‘hang on a minute, I paid a lot of money for my system - No way am I going to risk messing with that baby’. No, as a beginner, you definitely should not. You can get hold of some old computers to tear apart and rebuild. Old computers are seen as worthless, and you will find Pentium 1 and 2 machines being discarded as rubbish, even though they are still in good working order. Even a Pentium 3 can be bought very cheaply, and most of these are pretty good performers. A word of warning – be careful how widely you spread the news of you new interest in old computers. You will be surprised how many 486s and older are sitting in cartons in garages and basements, your friends and family will really be delighted to give you an amazing collection of electronic junk.

Get familiar with the various parts, and how they fit together.
Learn to identify the different styles of processor chip, RAM, disk drives and other components.

As always, safety is paramount.
The computer components themselves operate at low voltages, but you still have the mains strength voltage coming into the back of the computer. Always power off and unplug when you are working on the computer, and be suspicious of any signs of overheating or of burning smells. Enjoy your tinkering.
